Project Description:

Residence7801 is a single family home in the River Falls neighborhood of Potomac, MD.  Built in the late 1970’s, the single story ranch home boasts large open spaces, gracious windows and a contemporary feel.  The new owners wanted to carry the open, contemporary aesthetic to the master bathroom creating a spa-like experience.

The traditional shower and bathtub were replace with an open shower and freestanding tub.  The flush mounted 16″ x 16″ rainhead showerhead cascades water down to a pebble tile into a linear trench drain.  Textured wall tile accents the end walls with a flat, bright white wall tile wraps the existing window, new storage niches and flip down shower seat.  The tub is accented by a LED pendant light fixture creating a functional art piece.  The teak ceiling ties in the shower seat and freestanding vanities.  The wet area is separated by the rest of the bathroom by a single piece of 8′-0″ tall by 6′-0″ wide 1/2″ thick glass.

4′-0″ long his and hers freestanding teak vanities sit below LED lit Electric Mirrors providing reflection and light.  A separate toilet compartment houses a dual flush toilet maximizing efficiency.  White, linen porcelain tile along with an electric, wall mounted towel warmer and simple, contemporary accessories complete the open, spa-like environment.
